Finely hand quilted on Organic Cotton

Inspired by the melding of cultures of the Orient and Occident, our Bosporus quilt is hand printed with festoons of intertwined ribbons, fruits and flowers, - that were a popular form of decoration in classical Greek and Roman art. The Asian element comes from graceful cheetahs poised against lush greenpalms, along with the eternal cypress and roses - loved on both sides of the Bosporus.

Two layers of hand printed organic cotton muslin are filled with pure cotton, fluffed, and carded the traditional way. Women who are skilled quilters use tiny stitches to hold the cotton tightly together, which makes machine washing the quilt simple.
